NASD

Markets abbr

former US organization for traders in securities National Association of Securities Dealers: the self-regulatory organization that was responsible for regulation of US securities dealers and the NASDAQ stock exchange. Established in 1938, its functions are now carried out by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.
