monetary assets

Accounting

assets corresponding to amounts in accounts assets such as accounts receivable, cash, and bank balances that are realizable at the amounts stated in the accounts. Other assets such as facilities and machinery, inventories, and marketable securities will not necessarily realize the sum stated in a business's balance sheet.
