code of practice

General Management

statement of preferred organizational procedures a policy statement and description of preferred methods for organizational procedures.

Codes of practice may govern procedures for industrial relations, health and safety, and, more recently, customer service and professional development. An agreed code of practice enables activities to be carried out to a required organizational standard and provides a basis for dispute resolution.
