Ruth Bender
Ruth Bender is a senior lecturer at Cranfield School of Management. She joined the faculty in 1994, having completed her MBA there. Prior to this she was a partner in Grant Thornton, where latterly she specialized in corporate finance, including a time on secondment as a private equity investment manager in the City of London. She is a chartered accountant, and was a committee member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales’ Faculty of Finance and Management. Other outside roles have included non-executive directorships of a health authority and an NHS trust. Bender’s main teaching areas include financial strategy, working capital management, and corporate governance. Her doctorate is in corporate governance.
